s/y Cleo is a classic wooden sailboat type vega built in Szczecin in 1963. Vega is designed by Ryszard Langer and Kazimierz Michalski.

She is one of the few boat of this type that has survived to this day. s/y Cleo is a great example of the skills of Polish designers and boatbuilders.

As the Vega Cleo Association, we are taking care of the boat so that she survives in good condition for future generations of sailors.

We invite aboard all who would like to get a taste of the old style of sailing.

Cleo is a slender wooden vega yacht. The unit was built in Szczecin in 1963. In total, only 39 yachts of this type were built. For their time, these were technologically advanced boats, of which Polish boatbuilding thought did not have to be ashamed against the background of the most recognized yacht manufacturers in the world.

These vessels aroused admiration in all the marinas where they appeared. To the present day, about 10 are sailing around the world. Cleo is one of 16 veg built in Szczecin for export. In emigration, she was fortunate enough to end up in good hands, and for more than half a century, well cared for, she sailed salty and fresh waters. She recently returned to the motherland, to the city where she was built. She has a chance to sail for many more years, but her restoration requires considerable resources.

I don't want to keep it just for myself, because that would be strange and selfish from my point of view. For me, a yacht is alive when people sail on it, I would like to invite as many people on board as possible.
